A General Statement on Contest Rules
Most contests on the stations of the Radio Vermont Group involve random drawings. The odds of winning are determined by the total number of entries. (We do not generally engage in regional or national contests - our winner(s) come from our area from people who patronize our sponsors or actually listen to our stations). The sponsors of specific contests, their employees and immediate family members are not eligible to win (in the contests they sponsor). All winners must be 18 years of age or older. If a person under 18 or ineligible based on the rules stated here is drawn randomly, he/she will still be ineligible to win the prize. Should a prize involve travel arrangements - winner and guest will be required to abide by the rules of transportation companies and the rules of the venue involved - be it hotels, sports or entertainment venues. Winners are responsible for any and all taxes that may be due based on the value of the prize. If a winner declines to accept a prize for any reason, the prize is forfeit and will be assigned by another random draw. All prizes remain the property of the Radio VT Group and cannot be transferred to a third party without the express written consent of RVG (in some cases, it is simply NOT permitted to transfer a prize). Winners are not entitled to cash equivalent - unless that option is clearly stated in the contest rules of that particular promotion. In the event that a prize involves an event which is cancelled or delayed for any reason, RVG is not to be held responsible for decisions of outside vendors. Same for weather delays, acts of war, states of emergency natural disasters, acts or war or terrorism or other situations beyond the control of RVG. Contests on the stations do NOT require a purchase to win. These general rules apply to contests on WDEV-FM and AM, WCVT-FM, WLVB-FM and WEXP-FM and associated translators. Specific additional rules may apply on a contest-by-contest basis due to the specific nature of the contest and/or prize(s) offered. A written copy of specific contest rules are available. Send a S.A.S.E. to RVG Contest Rules, P.O. Box 550, Waterbury, VT 05676. Send additional questions to wdev@radiovermont.com
