TONIGHT: Periods of rain transitioning to freezing rain with ice accumulation and treacherous travel developing this evening. Freezing rain becoming a “wintry mix of sleet and eventually snow later on and overnight. Multiple precipitation types may be excessive creating very poor travel. Temperatures falling into the low 20s to upper teens overnight. Northwest winds 10 to 15 mph.

TOMORROW: Overcast. Sleet and snow moderate at times. Accumulations 2 to locally 6” Bare-Montpellier and Northeast Kingdom. 6 to locally 12” toward northern Champlain Valley” Accumulations only a dusting to 2” southeast of Barre-Montpelier. Temperatures falling through the teens. Northwest winds 10 to 20 mph lowering wind chills.

SATURDAY NIGHT: Leftover snow showers and flurries exiting in the evening to partial clearing. A low Zero to 10 below. Northwest winds 10 to 20 mph with dangerous wind chills.

SUNDAY: Mostly sunny but much colder. A high 5 to 10 above. Light northwest winds.
