Why Have a Garden Plan?
The Garden Plan is a very important tool for gardening and should never be skipped. To determine what to grow, I suggest start with your grocery list. What do you already buy? From that grocery list, make your garden list and see what you could feasibly grow at home. You can skip tree fruits like oranges, but salad greens and root vegetables are great for home gardens. If you don’t like Kale, don’t grow it. But don’t be afraid to try new things. Once you have a list of what you want to grow, come up with a realistic quantity. Start small because it’s very easy to get excited and have too many plants and become overwhelmed and discouraged.
