Digital Media Specialist 

Radio Vermont Group is seeking a highly motivated self-starter to fill the Digital Media Specialist role. This candidate would be responsible for communicating with the audiences of the Radio Vermont Group’s stations including WDEV (News/Talk), 101.7 WCVT Classic Hits Vermont (Classic Hits), and WLVB (Country). The candidate would help market the stations on social media and digital platforms and assist with on-air programming as needed. The candidate is also the head of Radio Vermont Group’s in-house video production, making engaging videos for advertising clients and the radio stations. 

Responsibilities 

  • Content manages three station websites and the corporate site 
  • Produce content calendars for three social media pages and carry out content plans with the help of on-air staff 
  • Design methods for listeners to engage with radio station contests and promotions online 
  • Edit and post daily and weekly podcasts on station websites and podcast platforms 
  • Meet with clients and sales staff to create innovative ideas for marketing videos 
  • Write, produce, and edit marketing videos for clients and for the radio stations as needed 
  • Make purchase decisions on video and computer equipment 
  • Maintain Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Online Public File 

      Qualifications 

      • Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcast Media, Film, Marketing, Communication or Equivalent Experience 
      • 2+ years of experience with Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Audition 
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
      • Experience working with social media for brands 
      • Advanced Computer Skills with PC and Mac as well as familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 

        Not Required but Nice to Have 

        • Experience with other Adobe Products (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) 
        • WordPress and Square Space Experience 
        • Knowledge of Radio Production Techniques and RCS Zetta 

          Requirements 

          • Must commute to our office in Waterbury, VT 
          • Will be required to do occasional in-state travel for video shoots 
          • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation 
          • Will be required to pack, lift, and move heavy video equipment (up to 25 lbs.)
