TONIGHT: Overcast. Rain…moderate at times with combined with snow melt producing rising streams and rivers, ice break up & ice jams. Rain…transitions to freezing rain and sleet Champlain Valley later this evening…gradually overspreading the state with hazardous travel. A low upper teens to mid-20s. South to southwest winds 10 to 20 mph, shifting to northwesterly overnight and gusty.

TOMORROW: A wintry mix with some minor glazing during the morning commute with very slick travel. Scattered snow showers and flurries tail off in the afternoon. About an inch of sleet and snow accumulation. Intervals of sun developing late, blustery & colder. Temperatures fall into the upper teens far northern areas to mid-20s. Northwest winds 10 to 25 with higher gusts toward southern areas.

FRIDAY NIGHT: Mostly clear, or scattered clouds. Cold. A low near zero to about 10 above. Light winds.

SATURDAY: Clouds with a few breaks of sunshine. Good chance for light accumulating snow showers or flurries with about an inch of accumulation. A high around 30. South winds 10 mph.
