TONIGHT: Overcast. Rain…moderate at times with combined with snow melt producing rising streams and rivers, ice break up & ice jams. Rain …transitions to freezing rain and sleet Champlain Valley this evening gradually spreading southward with hazardous travel. A low upper teens to mid-20s. South winds 10 to 15 mph, shifting to northwesterly overnight.

FRIDAY: A wintry mix with some minor glazing early…changing to light accumulating snow showers/flurries. A dusting to an inch of sleet and snow accumulation. Intervals of sunshine late, blustery & colder. Temperatures fall into the upper teens far northern areas to mid-20s. Northwest winds 10 to 20 with higher gusts near the central and southern Green Mountains.
