As we celebrate WDEV’s 90th Anniversary, we’re bringing back many of the voices you’ve grown to love through the years. We open the show by catching up with Dana Jewell, who retired last year. Then we spend the next hour getting some perspective on Afghanistan. First UVM Political Science Professor Peter Henne explains how Muslim states use religion in their foreign policies, and how ties between religion and state affect politics. Steve Terry, who served as Senator George Aiken’s legislative assistant, discusses the parallels between Afghanistan and Vietnam. And we end the show by heading up Route 14 past Hardwick Lake to visit the beautiful Jeudevine Falls.
